Abstract

The study aims to come to a judgment the importance of teacher’s influencing factor, student attitude, and motivation on student’s capability to mentally assimilate, bring to mind, sustain and preserve all the learned concepts. This research measures the effects of the said factors on student’s mathematics retention. For this study, the data are gathered and obtained from 101 STEM students of the University of Perpetual Help System-Pueblo de Panay Campus. The data analysis is done using Paired t-test, Cronbach’s Alpha and Pearson r. The results have revealed that teacher’s influencing factor, students’ attitude and motivation have significant differences. Results reveal and suggest that the three factors have a significant impact on student’s capability to mentally assimilate, bring to mind, sustain and preserve all the learned concepts in Mathematics subject via e-learning platform. Based on the impacts, school should give emphasis on teacher’s influencing factor because teacher can be effective agent to motivate and influence the attitude and performance of their students.
